Utah State Welcomes Sami Mancini to Women’s Basketball Program

The 6‑foot‑4 center brings size and shooting to the Aggies ahead of the upcoming season

Utah State head women's basketball coach Wesley Brooks revealed the signing of Sami Mancini, a 6‑foot‑4 center from Webb City, Missouri, who will join the Aggies for the upcoming season. Brooks highlighted Mancini’s size, shooting ability and toughness as key additions to the roster.

A Versatile Post Player

Mancini honed her game at Webb City High School, where she earned First Team All‑Central Ozarks Conference honors and posted a career average of 16.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. She later played at Providence, appearing in 28 games and posting a career‑high 12 points against Creighton while averaging 1.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest.

Coach Brooks emphasized that Mancini’s shooting range and interior presence will provide depth off the bench and could prove decisive in tight games. The coaching staff believes the new addition aligns perfectly with the team’s aggressive, inside‑out philosophy.
