Utah State head women's basketball coach Wesley Brooks announced the signing of Addy Horsley, a 6‑foot guard from Bluffdale, Utah, who has been a standout performer at Chandler‑Gilbert Community College.
A Versatile Playmaker
During her sophomore season at Chandler‑Gilbert, Horsley averaged 17.9 points, 6.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game, while shooting 82 percent from the free‑throw line and totaling 199 made free throws.
She capped the season with a triple‑double against South Mountain Community College, posting 14 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists, a performance that helped the Coyotes secure 17 victories — the most for the program since 2009.
High School Excellence
Horsley was a three‑time 6A all‑state honoree at Bingham High School, where she amassed nearly 1,400 points, over 300 rebounds, 300 assists and 240 steals in her four‑year career. As a senior she averaged 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.9 steals per game, guiding the Miners to the state semifinals.
Coach Brooks praised the recruit, stating that Horsley’s scoring ability, court vision and defensive intensity align perfectly with the Aggies’ ambitions to compete at the top of the Mountain West conference. “Addy brings a rare blend of skill and grit,” Brooks said. “She will be a cornerstone for our future success.”
The addition of Horsley not only bolsters the roster but also strengthens Utah State’s recruiting pipeline, linking the program with successful junior‑college talent and reinforcing its commitment to building a competitive women’s basketball program.
