The University of Utah’s football program has added another piece to its 2027 recruiting class, as high school offensive lineman Damian Anyasodo announced his commitment to the Utes on social media.
Anyasodo, a 6‑foot‑4, 285‑pound prospect from Stockton, California, chose Utah over a handful of other programs, becoming the second offensive lineman to pledge to the Utes in this cycle and the fifth overall recruit to commit.
His decision underscores the growing appeal of the Utes’ offensive line development under head coach Kyle Whittingham, a factor that has attracted attention from several Pac‑12 and Mountain West schools that have also extended offers.
What This Means for Utah’s Line
The commitment follows the earlier pledge of another lineman in the class, signaling a potential pipeline of talent along the trenches for Utah, which hopes to bolster its front five for the upcoming seasons.
In addition to Utah, Anyasodo holds offers from San Diego State, Washington State and other programs, but he indicated that the Utes remain the only Power Four school to have offered him thus far.
