The Deseret News has released its 2026 2A All‑State baseball selections, honoring the top high school players from across Utah.
Player of the Year and Playoff MVP
Kanon Virostko of Kanab was crowned Player of the Year after posting a .495 batting average, a 1.566 OPS and 50 RBI, while teammate Grady Anderson captured the Playoff MVP award for his clutch performances.
The first team features a mix of power hitters and dominant pitchers. Waylon Sorenson from Gunnison Valley batted .386 and went 7‑3 on the mound, Walker Baird of Kanab struck out 100 batters while hitting .338, and Triston Felix from Monticello delivered a .508 average and 169 strikeouts.
Additional first‑team standouts include Raider Blomquist of Beaver, who hit .533 with 38 RBI, Braxton Pickett of Gunnison Valley, who stole 31 bases while batting .387, Baylor Nielson of San Juan, Nashden Goodliffe of Duchesne, Brogun Virostko of Kanab, Davis Carter of Beaver, Ki Anzalone of Beaver, Nache Young of San Juan, Kreed Herring of San Juan, Gradey Osborne of Parowan, whose sub‑2 ERA impressed, and many others.
Second Team and Honorable Mentions
