The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley announced Thursday that its men’s soccer program has released the full slate of matches for the 2026 season, a schedule that marks the team’s return to official conference competition after a year spent outside the league structure.
A Schedule That Signals a New Chapter
The opening act will be an exhibition contest against Monterrey Tech on August 9, setting the stage for a campaign that will see the Vaqueros step back onto the Ohio Valley Conference stage for the first time since the previous season.
Conference play is slated to commence on September 26 with a road matchup against Lindenwood, a fixture that will test the squad early as they adjust to the new competitive environment.
The regular season will wind down with a final away game at Houston Christian on November 1, before the team travels to participate in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament beginning November 8.
