The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros football team will open its practice to the public and run a free youth clinic at Sams Memorial Stadium in Brownsville on August 6.
The practice is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by the clinic at 5:15 p.m. Gates will open at 2:30 p.m., and entry is free, requiring no tickets.
The clinic is designed for children in grades two through five and provides a hands‑on experience led by current Vaqueros players and coaches. Registration is now open at GoUTRGV.com/FootballClinic.

During the 30‑minute session, participants will rotate through skill stations that focus on the fundamentals of the game, helping them build confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.
