Two Vanderbilt Commodores have earned a spot at the 2026 MLB Draft combine, joining a select group of the nation’s most promising baseball talent.
A Talent-Rich Combine
The event will be held at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, from June 23 through June 25, offering prospects a chance to showcase their skills in front of scouts and executives.
Braden Holcomb, who started every game for Vanderbilt last season, posted a .352 batting average, collected 80 hits, drove in 54 runs and hit 14 home runs.
Colin Barczi, a catcher who appeared in 31 games, posted a .263 average, amassed 31 hits, contributed 28 RBIs and 11 homers, and logged 33 putouts behind the plate.
Beyond the Commodores, several Vanderbilt signees and standout high school players from the Middle Tennessee region have also received invites, underscoring the area’s rich baseball pipeline.
Among the high school prospects are Bo Holloway of CPA, Gunner Skelton from Columbia Academy, Wyatt Clatur of Nolensville, Jack Dugan of Lipscomb Academy and Jack Beck from Columbia Central, each of whom brings a distinct skill set to the showcase.
Former Nolensville star Ethan McElvain, now pitching for the University of Arkansas, rounds out the group of invitees, highlighting the breadth of talent extending beyond high school.
