Vanderbilt will open the tournament against Arizona, a foe they have faced four times before, and then meet Oregon State, against whom they hold a perfect 4‑0 record. The Commodores enter the event with a 4‑1 all‑time edge over Arizona and an unblemished 4‑0 slate versus Oregon State.
Coached by Shea Ralph, Vanderbilt arrives with momentum built around seven players who helped the team reach the Sweet 16 last season. The returning core includes All‑American Mikayla Blakes and SEC Freshman of the Year Aubrey Galvan, both of whom are expected to anchor the offense.
