Varrell Eddie has been appointed head coach of the Baruch College women's basketball program, bringing more than a decade of coaching experience to the Bearcats. Eddie's basketball journey began on the courts of the Bronx, where he revitalized the girls' program at Samuel Gompers High School from 2014 to 2016. He later spent seven seasons at Purchase College, rising from assistant to head coach, and most recently served as head coach at City College of New York (CCNY) during the 2022‑23 and 2023‑24 seasons. In addition to his coaching duties, Eddie currently holds the position of Dean of Students at University Prep High School in the Bronx.

With a bachelor's degree in Communications from SUNY Cortland (2009) and a master's in Sports Business Management from Manhattanville College (2012), Eddie blends academic insight with practical know‑how.
