The Vegas Golden Knights are bringing the energy of the rink to the summer heat with a slate of youth ball hockey clinics scattered across the Las Vegas Valley. The invitation‑only programs are designed to introduce children to the sport, keep them active and foster a love of hockey during the break.
Summer Schedule Unveiled
Clinics are slated for June 3, June 8, June 10, June 17, June 22, June 23, July 2 and July 7, taking place at various community centers in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Each session runs for a few hours and blends skill drills with fun, game‑like scenarios.
The initiative’s core mission is twofold: expose youngsters to hockey early and provide a healthy, structured activity during the summer months. By partnering with local recreation sites, the Knights hope to broaden access to the sport while reinforcing teamwork and physical fitness.
Community Partnerships and Perks
The clinics are presented by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers and Green Valley Grocery, two brands that will supply giveaways and on‑site refreshments. Participants can expect branded merchandise and the chance to win additional prizes throughout the series.
Adds an extra layer of excitement, several members of the VGK roster, including the well‑known player Chance, will make appearances at the events. Their presence not only inspires the kids but also offers a rare face‑to‑face connection with the team.
Attendance is by invitation only; the participants have been pre‑selected through local schools and youth organizations. The events are closed to the general public, ensuring a focused environment for the young athletes.
Beyond the ice‑less drills, the clinics serve as a community‑building platform. By collaborating with neighborhood centers, the Knights aim to leave a lasting imprint on the Valley’s youth programs, encouraging future involvement in hockey and related outreach efforts.
