At the recent SEC Media Days in Tampa, Florida, Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables took the podium to outline the Sooners' preparations for the upcoming season and to draw attention to two former Arkansas standouts who have joined the program.
A Double‑Impact Transfer
E'Marion Harris, a former Razorbacks offensive lineman, transferred to Norman and is slated to start at right tackle for the Sooners. He brings 24 career starts, including a full season as the everyday right tackle in 2025, and follows in the footsteps of his father Elliott Harris, who played defensive line for Arkansas from 2001 to 2004.
The Oklahoma offensive line, anchored by Harris, has been ranked No. 5 nationally by CBS Sports, underscoring the unit's potential to rank among the country's best.
Depth at the Receiver Position
Also making the move to Oklahoma is wide receiver Isaiah Sategna, who completed a redshirt‑sophomore season with the Razorbacks in 2024 before transferring to the Sooners. In his first year with Oklahoma he posted 67 receptions for 965 yards and eight touchdowns, positioning him as the conference’s top returning player by receiving yardage.
Venables described Sategna as a “ham and egger” before last season, highlighting his work ethic and untapped potential. He now views Sategna as the leader of a receiver corps that also includes Texas transfer Parker Livingstone and West Virginia transfer Trell Harris.
Both players have drawn praise for their contributions and the impact they could have on the team’s fortunes. With the offensive line projected to be elite and the receiving group poised for explosiveness, the Sooners enter the season with a renewed sense of optimism.
