A Coach With a Global résumé
Hovi’s journey to the NHL’s developmental pipeline began long before this summer. A two‑time Olympian, she earned silver and bronze medals representing Finland on the world stage, experiences that have shaped her analytical eye and competitive drive.
Speaking after the camp’s final session, Hovi expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that each stint offers a chance to learn and to forge lasting relationships with both staff and prospects.
Her presence at the camp is not just a personal achievement; it reflects the growing influence of Harvard’s hockey program under her guidance since she joined the Crimson staff in 2023.
Working alongside the Bruins’ coaching cadre and a roster of 31 top prospects, Hovi blends her North American and European coaching philosophies, aiming to accelerate the development of the next generation of talent.
The Bruins organization has praised her ability to translate elite playing experience into actionable insights, a skill that has already left a measurable imprint on player growth.
Beyond the camp, Hovi’s résumé includes stints with the New Jersey Devils in 2024 and 2025, as well as a successful playing and coaching career that spans continents, underscoring her versatility and depth.
