Vermont Green FC is gearing up for the 2026 USL League Two season as the defending champions prepare to mount another title challenge.
A Season of Ambition
Head coach Chris Taylor will oversee a squad that blends returning stalwarts with a wave of fresh talent, all aiming to replicate last year’s triumph.
Training kicks off on May 12 at Virtue Field, where the team will fine‑tune strategies ahead of a demanding schedule.
Strengthening the Squad
The roster features familiar names such as Brandon Marshall and newcomers like Riley Moloney, adding depth and versatility to the lineup.
Veteran Adam Pfeifer and emerging players including Joseph Picotto, Ryan Zellefrow, Shakir Nixon, Marco Dos Santos, Victor Akoum, Leon Brody and Zach Zengue are all expected to contribute.
Challenges on the Horizon
The Northeast Division will expand to ten teams with the addition of Connecticut Rush, raising the level of competition.
Vermont Green FC will meet Seacoast United and Western Mass Pioneers in marquee matchups that could shape the playoff picture.
Cup Competition
The club will also contest the Hank Steinbrecher Cup, beginning with a semifinal clash against Hickory FC.
Success on the field is credited not only to the players but also to a passionate fanbase that has helped drive recent upgrades to Virtue Field.
Home Advantage
Improvements to the stadium’s amenities and playing surface are designed to give the Green FC faithful an even richer matchday experience.
