Key Performances
Tommy Amber of Thetford Academy opened the title defense with a homer and three RBIs in the D-III quarterfinals, setting a high bar for his teammates.
Sam Bent from Essex High School earned the win in both the D-I quarterfinal and the championship game, showcasing his poise on the mound.
Cam Castillo of Mount Abraham Union High School delivered a three-hit, four-RBI effort in the D-II quarterfinal victory over Harwood, underscoring his all-around impact.
Evan Corrigan also from Mount Abraham Union High School posted two pitching wins, guiding the Eagles to their first crown in a decade.
Jacob Laroche of Essex High School threw a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks in the D-I semifinals, a performance that left opponents scoreless.
Miles Lawrence of Thetford Academy pitched in all three playoff games, allowing just five hits and no runs while striking out 14 batters over 11 innings.
Xander Oshoniyi contributed an RBI in Thetford’s 11-1 quarterfinal win over Peoples and earned the victory in the 2-0 semifinal against Enosburg.
Carter Robilotto of Mount St. Joseph Academy completed a three-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts in the Mounties’ 3-0 triumph over Blue Mountain.
Thomas Trombley of Essex High School delivered a three-run double in the first inning that broke a tie and helped Essex defeat BFA-St. Albans in the D-I quarterfinals.
