Beverly High School has named Vin Mirasolo as its new varsity boys hockey coach, tapping a veteran with nearly three decades of experience on the ice.
Mirasolo arrives after a 25‑year tenure at Melrose and Lynnfield, where he amassed close to 300 career victories and captured multiple championships, including the 2021 Freedom Division title.
A Record of Success
During his decade at Melrose, he posted a 87‑87‑33 record and reached the playoffs eight times, culminating in a championship in 2021. In Lynnfield, he spent 15 seasons, compiling a 201‑100‑45 ledger and guiding the team to five sectional title games.
The Beverly Athletic Department emphasized that Mirasolo’s philosophy centers on player development and a strong team culture, praising his dedication to excellence and his passion for the sport.
Beyond wins and losses, Mirasolo is known for mentoring student‑athletes, helping them grow both on the rink and in the classroom, a balance the department says will enrich the program’s future.
