A Season of Ambition
The Virginia Cavaliers football program arrives into the new campaign with a palpable sense of hunger and confidence. Players and staff alike speak of a clear goal: to return to Charlotte and capture a trophy that has eluded the team in recent years.
Alongside the on‑field aspirations, the program is benefitting from a series of upgrades to Scott Stadium. The renovation plan includes the creation of the 1931 Club, offering premium club seating, while key technical components such as the video board, sound system and lighting have been modernized in recent years.
Basketball Roster Momentum
On the hardwood, the Cavaliers retain a core group of proven contributors, including Thijs De Ridder, Johann Grunloh, Sam Lewis and Chance Mallory. Their experience provides a stable foundation for the upcoming season.
The roster also welcomes several new faces — Christian Harmon, Jurian Dixon, Jan Vide, Kalu Anya and Nolan Adekunle. Each brings a distinct skill set, with Adekunle particularly highlighted for his three‑and‑D versatility, slashing ability and occasional playmaking.
