Tennessee is set to field an unprecedented six scholarship tight ends for the 2026 campaign, a depth chart that could fundamentally alter the way the Volunteers attack the line of scrimmage.
At the core of that group is Ethan Davis, a 6‑foot‑5, 247‑pound redshirt junior who has already proven his reliability with 36 career receptions for 390 yards and four touchdowns across 24 games.
Joining Davis are sophomore DaSaahn Brame, who burst onto the scene with six catches for 63 yards as a freshman, and redshirt sophomore Cole Harrison, who contributed a 17‑yard reception in limited action last season.
A Deep Room
The room also welcomes transfers Trent Thomas, a 6‑foot‑5, 252‑pound redshirt junior who arrives from South Alabama after 26 collegiate appearances, and Drake Martinez, a senior who has navigated stops at Texas, Houston Christian, McNeese State and Colorado State.
Completing the unit is freshman Luca Wolf, a 6‑foot‑5, 255‑pound Austrian who signed out of the NFL Academy in London and enrolled at Tennessee in January, bringing an international perspective to the group.
Coaches say the sheer number of capable tight ends provides flexibility in formations, allowing the offense to mix and match personnel groups that keep defenses guessing and eases the burden on any single player over a long season.
