Yorktown entered the tournament as the Class B champions, having fought through a rigorous bracket to claim the title, while Westlake/Briarcliff’s run ended in the Class C semifinals, a result that still resonates with their supporters.
Mamaroneck’s season concluded in the Class A regional finals, and Scarsdale bowed out in the regional semifinals, setting the stage for a final showdown among the week’s standout athletes.
Among the nominees, Maddie Cashman of Mamaroneck distinguished herself with a decisive touchdown pass in the regional final, a moment that underscored her poise under pressure.
Erin Duffy from Yorktown impressed with six touchdown receptions in the state final four, a tally that highlighted her reliability as a go‑to target.
Isabella Murray of Westlake/Briarcliff recorded eight catches for 83 yards and a score in the Class C semifinal, demonstrating a blend of route running and yards after catch.
Reese Newman of Scarsdale added two touchdown passes in the regional semifinal, showcasing his arm strength and vision.
