Reviving the Tradition
Wake Forest Athletics is bringing back its Men’s Basketball Supporters Group for the 2026‑27 season, a move designed to deepen fan involvement and amplify the energy inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The group, now in its fourth iteration, welcomes both returning enthusiasts and newcomers who want to be part of a dedicated community that plans chants, traditions and game‑day initiatives. Applications opened this week, and every previous member must submit a fresh application before a video interview determines the final roster.
Those who earn a spot receive complimentary season tickets in Section 114, a package that includes branded apparel, exclusive event invitations and special ticket offers. Members also pledge to attend nearly every home contest, a commitment that helps shape the atmosphere the team feeds off.
Under head coach Steve Forbes, the Demon Deacons have turned the Coliseum into a formidable venue, posting a 74‑17 record at home since 2021 — a tally that ranks among the nation’s best. Forbes will meet the new cohort during a preseason gathering, reinforcing the link between coaching staff and the fan base.
Even fans who do not join the Supporters Group can still purchase a spot in the designated section for single games through the ticket platform FEVO, ensuring that the broader community can contribute to the venue’s roar.
The revival underscores Wake Forest’s strategy of leveraging passionate supporters to create a home‑court advantage that rivals the nation’s top programs, a tactic that has already translated into a string of memorable victories.
