Fan Fest Marks Celebration of Recent Triumphs
Wake Forest University will open its doors to fans on July 26, 2026, with a free community festival at Spry Stadium. The gathering invites supporters of both the men’s and women’s soccer programs to enjoy a series of friendly matches, player autographs and exclusive early‑access opportunities for members of the Jr. Deacs fan club.
The event comes on the heels of a standout 2025 campaign for the women’s side, which closed the regular season with a 10‑4‑4 overall record and an unblemished 8‑0‑3 mark at home. The Demon Deacons finished the year with a 6‑2‑4 home slate and have accumulated 117 victories on their own turf since 2015, positioning them among the nation’s most consistent programs.
Individual performances highlighted the season’s narrative. Kylie Maxwell earned All‑ACC Freshman of the Year honors and secured spots on the third team and the freshman squad, while goalkeeper Valentina Amaral posted a .784 save percentage and made 69 stops. Midfielder Sierra Sythe contributed nine assists, and forward Tate Lorentz, drafted in the third round by Montreal, added six goals and five assists before signing a professional contract.
The men’s roster also saw homegrown talent shine. Cooper Flax, the 14th homegrown signee for the Deacs, finished his senior year with nine goals and seven assists, and Harvey Sarajian became the fifth player under head coach Bobby Muuss to be selected in the top five of the MLS Draft. These achievements helped the program rank first nationally in total victories over the past decade.
Looking ahead, the teams aim to extend their ACC dominance, having captured three conference titles since 2015, and to build on a legacy that includes 159 career wins. The upcoming season promises fresh challenges, but the excitement generated by the Fan Fest underscores the strong connection between the university and its supporters.
