Community Soccer Event Lights Up Las Vegas
Walmart joined forces with Soccer Forward and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada to stage a vibrant youth soccer clinic in Las Vegas, drawing 65 local children for a day of sport, teamwork and community connection.
The gathering took place at the James Club clubhouse, where Walmart associates from several stores volunteered alongside coaches, handing out snacks, leading drills and cheering on the participants.
More Than a Game
Beyond the fun, the event underscored a broader mission: using soccer as a vehicle to boost confidence and teach life‑building skills that extend far beyond the pitch.
A $5,000 contribution from Walmart will help sustain the clinic and future Soccer Forward Fest activations that are rolling out in cities nationwide, reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to youth development.
Organizers hope the experience will inspire participants to carry the lessons learned on the field into their everyday lives, fostering resilience and ambition for the future.
