Wan’Dale Robinson Brings Youth Football Clinic to Frankfort, Kentucky

The Tennessee Titans wide receiver uses his platform to inspire the next generation of athletes in his home state.

A Homecoming for a Kentucky Native

Wan’Dale Robinson, a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, returned to his roots last week when he opened the doors of a free Community Giveback Football Clinic in Frankfort, Kentucky. The event, held on a sunny Saturday, welcomed dozens of youngsters eager to learn from the NFL veteran who grew up just a short drive away.

Robinson’s football story reads like a home‑grown success tale. After starring at Western Hills High School, he spent two seasons at Nebraska before transferring to Kentucky, where in a single year he set school records with 104 receptions and 1,334 receiving yards. The 2018 Mr. Football of Kentucky then entered the NFL draft, was selected by the New York Giants in the second round, and over five seasons amassed 268 catches for 2,465 yards and nine touchdowns.

In March, Robinson signed a four‑year, $70 million contract with the Titans, a move that brought him closer to family and to the Commonwealth he loves. This summer, he will host another clinic at Tates Creek on June 6, offering drills, mentorship and a chance for kids to meet a player who once stood where they are now.

Beyond the on‑field work, Robinson stresses the importance of community support. “Seeing kids from Kentucky get the same opportunities I had is why I do this,” he said, adding that his own path — defying doubts about his size and trajectory — serves as a reminder that perseverance can rewrite expectations.
