Huskies Zero In on Arizona Talent
Washington's coaching staff, headed by head coach Jedd Fisch, has turned its recruiting gaze toward Arizona, zeroing in on Desert Edge High School as a hotbed of talent.
The Huskies already have two commitments from standout players in the 2027 class, and now they are courting four‑star safety Jaelyn Easterling-Flores, a member of the 2028 cohort.
Easterling-Flores, listed at No. 52 overall and the fifth-best safety nationally by the 247Sports Composite, has drawn offers from a litany of powerhouses, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas.
In his sophomore season he logged 45 tackles, six for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery, showcasing a blend of physicality, athleticism and instincts that makes him adaptable across the defensive front.
A Strategic Push for the 2028 Class
The commitment of Easterling-Flores would not only bolster the Huskies' defensive depth but also reinforce the program's strategy of leveraging relationships with high-school programs in the Southwest. With Jalanie George and Nekhi Lambeth already pledged, the trio could reshape the Huskies' secondary in the coming years.
