Bettendorf also advanced with a 4‑2 victory over Waukee, and West Des Moines Valley edged Linn‑Mar 4‑1, while Ankeny Centennial dispatched Ankeny 5‑1, underscoring the depth of talent in that division.
Class 2A saw Norwalk crush Lewis Central 6‑0, North Scott shut out Gilbert 3‑0, North Polk defeat Waverly‑Shell Rock 2‑1, and Dallas Center‑Grimes blank Sioux City Bishop Heelan 3‑0, highlighting both offensive firepower and defensive solidity.
In Class 1A, Denver routed Iowa Falls‑Alden 8‑1, Council Bluffs St. Albert edged Des Moines Christian 4‑2, and Aplington‑Parkersburg edged Davenport Assumption 1‑0 in overtime, while Hudson secured a 1‑0 win over Treynor.
