The breakthrough came quickly, as junior forward Maddie Burr opened the scoring in the third minute, followed by a strike from Oakley Anderson in the 31st minute that put the Wildcats ahead 1-0 at halftime.
Nellie Brooks added the decisive goal in the 34th minute, extending the lead to 2-1 before the break, and the team finished the match with a 16-9 edge in total shots despite both sides registering five shots on target.

He will be joined by three other first‑time call‑ups as the 12‑player squad convenes in Miami for a training camp from August 20 to 24 before traveling to Chile and Colombia for competitive matches.
