Week 4 in the Books
The fourth week of the Michigan Girls High School Flag Football League concluded with several tightly contested games across the Hometown Life coverage area. Northville opened the slate with a 20-0 victory over Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard, while Auburn Hills Oakland Christian rolled past Birmingham Groves 26-6 and Clawson edged Madison Heights Bishop Foley 26-21. Bloomfield Hills also secured a 19-6 win over Clinton Township Chippewa Valley, setting the stage for a competitive finish to the regular season.
Standout Performances
Taylor Chrzanowski of Northville proved pivotal, completing 13 of 20 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns while also throwing two interceptions. Her connection with Lili Vettraino resulted in a 60‑yard reception that culminated in a score, and Izzie DeFore added a 70‑yard pick‑six to highlight the Norsemen’s defensive spark. On the other side, Amber Wright of Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard attempted only one pass, a 33‑yard throw that ended in two interceptions, underscoring a challenging outing for the visiting team.
Auburn Hills Oakland Christian’s offense found rhythm behind Aliyah Wright, who amassed 107 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Brennan Gough of Clawson directed his team to a 26-21 win with nine completions for 122 yards and four scores. Bloomfield Hills’ defensive standout Angelica Gieleghem capped her performance with an interception return for a touchdown, illustrating the breadth of talent across the region.
