Weekend Baseball Action Across the Plains
The weekend slate for Wyoming and Colorado’s amateur baseball circuits is shaping up to be a busy one, with the WESTCO Zephyrs, Alliance Spartans and Bridgeport Bombers each slated for multiple contests. All games will be carried live on KNEB AM 960 and FM 100.3, giving fans a chance to follow the action from the stands or the radio.
The Zephyrs opened the week with a decisive 6‑1 victory over Fort Collins, a performance anchored by Kolten Burgner’s five strikeouts in six innings. A few days later they battled Wellington to a 4‑4 tie, with Owen Latham fanning eight batters over seven frames, underscoring the team’s deep pitching staff.
