The distribution took place at Zanesville Middle School, where volunteers organized a bustling supply line that stretched across the gymnasium. Brooks McCune, the team’s captain, has been a regular presence at the ministry’s volunteer days since his freshman year. His leadership on the field translates into a hands‑on approach off it, coordinating logistics and encouraging teammates to stay engaged with the cause.
Sally Goins, a longtime supporter of Eastside Community Ministry, praised the athletes’ dedication, noting that their participation not only supplies tangible resources but also sends a powerful message about civic responsibility. "Seeing these young men step up for our kids reinforces the spirit of our community," she said.
