The West Seattle Soccer Club, a fixture of the neighborhood since 1968, is putting the final touches on its fall registration period, with just one week remaining for families to enroll.
A Legacy of Community Play
Founded over five decades ago, the club provides recreational soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of five and eighteen across the southwest Seattle area, offering a space where skill development meets community connection.
This fall, nearly a thousand youngsters have already signed up, reflecting the program’s enduring appeal and the growing interest in youth sports within the region.
Season Structure and Scheduling
Practices and matches are slated to commence in early to mid‑September, with each division playing between eight, ten, or twelve games depending on the age group, allowing coaches to tailor the competitive experience.
Registration will close on June 30, after which the club will finalize team rosters and prepare the fields for the opening weekend.
Supporting Access for All
Understanding that cost can be a barrier, the club offers financial assistance to qualified families, ensuring that economic circumstances do not prevent participation in the sport.
Club officials emphasize their commitment to delivering an affordable yet high‑quality playing experience, reinforcing the organization’s mission to nurture both athletic growth and community cohesion.
