Bainbridge, the defending 2A state champion, rolled past Sequim with an 11‑0 victory in just five innings, showcasing the depth of their roster.
Olympic survived a nail‑biter against Orting, edging them 2‑1 in eight innings; senior pitcher Chase Beninger threw every inning, keeping the opposition at bay.
North Kitsap also advanced, defeating Steilacoom 5‑1, with right‑hander Jack Nelson delivering a complete game that limited the opposition to a single run.
Semifinal Matchups
The semifinal schedule is set for Saturday, May 16, at Fife High School. Bainbridge will meet Olympic at 12:30 p.m., while North Kitsap takes on Fife at 10 a.m.
Losers from those semifinals will reconvene at Foss High School for a winner‑to‑state, loser‑out contest, keeping the path to the state tournament open for all.
In the 1B bracket, Crosspoint Christian fell 12‑2 to Northwest Christian of Lacey, but the team still has a chance to qualify for state with a win in a loser‑out game against Evergreen Lutheran.
Klahowya is slated to meet Bellevue Christian in the 1A West Central District tournament, while Central Kitsap’s season concluded with a 10‑1 loss to White River.
