West Texas A&M University Athletics has unveiled the 2026 men’s soccer schedule, a full 18‑game slate that blends preseason friendlies with a rigorous conference campaign.
The plan calls for nine home contests at The Pitch in Canyon, giving the Buffs a strong base of support as they navigate a demanding road stretch.
Season opener is set for Aug. 27 on the road against Adams State in Canyon, but the first home test arrives just two weeks later on Aug. 18 when the team hosts Wayland Baptist before traveling to College of the Southwest on Aug. 21.
Conference play kicks off on Sept. 23 with a trip to Texas A&M‑International in Laredo, and the Buffs will return to The Pitch on Sept. 26 to face UT‑Tyler, marking the first of several high‑stakes LSC matchups.
Key Matchups to Watch
A marquee encounter looms on Oct. 17 when the reigning LSC champions Midwestern State return to Canyon, a rematch of the 2025 national championship clash that could shape the league standings.
The schedule also features a series of road tests at Oklahoma Christian, UT‑Dallas, Dallas Baptist University and Lubbock Christian University, before the Buffs close the regular season with a home game against St. Edward’s on Oct. 28.
With the top six teams in the LSC advancing to the conference tournament and the first two seeds earning a bye, every point will carry added weight as the Buffs aim to secure a favorable seed.
