Tigers Aim to Repeat Glory in 2026
The Westville Tigers enter the 2026 campaign with high expectations, sitting at No. 6 in the preseason Top 10 poll released by The News‑Gazette. Coming off an 11‑1 record and a VVC championship last year, the team hopes to translate that momentum into another strong season.
Senior quarterback Easton Bolin is slated to start for the third consecutive year, having amassed over 1,000 passing yards and more than 600 rushing yards while accounting for 27 touchdowns in 2025. His dual‑threat ability forms the centerpiece of the offense.
Key seniors such as right tackle Reid Smith, defensive lineman Brandon Bennett and secondary standout Chaz Alvarez are expected to anchor both sides of the ball. Coach Guy Goodlove, now in his 32nd season, stresses that experience and cohesion will be vital as the Tigers look to replicate last year’s large home crowds.
Memorial Field, which received turf and a new weight room in 2021, continues to benefit from the school’s investment in facilities, a factor that helped draw enthusiastic crowds in 2025 and should do the same this fall.
