Wiley University’s women’s soccer program is preparing for a rigorous 2026 campaign that will feature ten regular‑season contests, seven of which will be played on the team’s home turf.
A demanding non‑conference slate
The Lady Wildcats open with three exhibition matches against NJCAA opponents Ranger College and Jacksonville College before traveling to face NCAA Division III side Centenary College of Louisiana, setting a competitive tone early in the schedule.
The first official test comes on August 21, when Wiley hosts a Historically Black Colleges and Universities showcase against the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, an NCAA Division I member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Beyond that marquee matchup, the remainder of the non‑conference slate leans heavily on familiar rivalries from the Red River Athletic Conference, the league in which the Wildcats competed from 2012 through 2018, promising nostalgic contests against longtime foes.
Adding to the excitement, nearly the entire roster returns from a 9‑6 season that culminated in a conference‑tournament semifinal, giving the team continuity and momentum as they aim to improve on last year’s performance.
The coaching staff have emphasized discipline and depth, noting that the blend of experienced returnees and fresh talent positions the Wildcats to meet the challenges presented by a demanding schedule.
