Will Brick, a senior catcher and third baseman at Christian Brothers High School, has been crowned the 2025‑26 Gatorade Tennessee Baseball Player of the Year, a distinction that underscores a season that blended dominance on the diamond with a growing reputation as a leader off it.
Brick’s impact was immediate. He helped the CBHS Eagles open the year with a perfect 16‑0 record, a streak that carried the team through the TSSAA Division II‑AA state quarterfinals. At the plate he batted .526, driving in 25 runs while adding 28 scored runs, nine doubles and five home runs.
A Season That Set New Standards
His defensive prowess earned him All‑World catcher honors as a starter for Team USA’s gold‑medal‑winning U‑18 World Cup squad, where he faced the nation’s top youth talent.
Reclassifying to the Class of 2026, Brick has already committed to Mississippi State University, where he will continue both his academic and athletic pursuits. The move has not dimmed his prospect status; Perfect Game ranks him as the No. 7 prospect nationally, while MLB.com places him at No. 51 overall in the upcoming MLB Draft.
Beyond the numbers, Brick is known for his leadership and community involvement. He volunteers with the Best Brothers program and spends weekends coaching youth baseball, embodying the spirit of giving back that the Gatorade award celebrates.
His achievements also earned him a DII‑AA West All‑Region selection and a spot as a finalist for the DII‑AA Mr. Baseball award, accolades that reflect both his on‑field excellence and his influence among peers.
As the baseball community looks ahead, Brick’s trajectory points toward a promising professional future, with scouts already tracking his development as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
