Coach Greg Gard praised the sophomore’s evolution, noting that the additional game experience has translated into markedly higher confidence and a more assertive presence on the court.
Last season Garlock appeared in 30 games with modest numbers — just 1.1 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per contest — but the latest session hinted at a player ready to expand his role.
The daily duels between Garlock and Onuetu have become a catalyst for raising the team’s intensity, with each rep pushing both big men to refine their fundamentals.
Meanwhile, forwards Nolan Winter and Austin Rapp remained sidelined during the drill, though their recoveries are progressing and they are expected to rejoin the lineup soon.
