Willard Football is entering its third season under head coach Andy McFarland, looking to rebound from a disappointing 1-9 record in 2025. The team has focused on restoring experience and depth, emphasizing a strong running game built around veteran linemen and backs.
Returning Leaders and New Faces
The senior class returns a core of playmakers, including running backs James Slaughter and Greyson Walden, who topped the rushing charts last year. Offensive tackles CJ Seymour and Kain Gately, both third‑year starters, bring leadership and stability to the line, while tight end and former captain Michael Hallman rejoins the squad after recovering from a 2024 injury, now contributing at both tight end and fullback.
