The 79th Little League Baseball World Series is set to light up Williamsport, Pennsylvania, from August 29 to 30, bringing together 20 teams from across the United States and abroad in a celebration of youth baseball.

The tournament will feature 38 games played at the Little League International Complex, where updated stadiums, including a new roof over Lamade Stadium, promise a modern backdrop for the championship.
Free admission will be offered to the public, though select games require digital tickets for limited seating, and shuttle services and parking arrangements have been put in place to accommodate the influx of visitors.
Economic Ripple
Organizers estimate that the event will generate roughly $40 million in economic activity for the state, supporting local businesses and creating temporary jobs during the busy weekend.
Mayor Derek Slaughter of Williamsport highlighted the series as a defining element of the community’s identity, noting how the gathering unites cultures and neighborhoods through sport.
Beyond the Field
The World of Little League Museum in South Williamsport will host an open house on April 26, showcasing new exhibits and a historic Babe Ruth baseball, while the Challenger Division Exhibition Game on August 29 will spotlight inclusive play.
Brian McClintock, senior communications executive at Little League International, oversees the preparations and has confirmed that more than half of the participating teams have already arrived in Lycoming County, underscoring the event’s scale and logistical readiness.
