State Player of the Year
The Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association has released its 2026 spring all-state teams, recognizing the elite high school players who excelled during the recent season. Arrowhead senior midfielder Amara Leppla stood out enough to be crowned the state player of the year, capping a season that saw her dominate in the midfield and lead her team to a strong finish.
The first team features four standout athletes from Divine Savior Holy Angels, the state champions, highlighting the depth of talent on that squad. State runner-up Muskego and Division 2 champion Brookfield Central each contributed three players to the first team, underscoring the competitive balance across divisions.
Beyond the first team, a long list of honorees from dozens of schools earned spots on the second team and additional recognitions, reflecting the breadth of excellence throughout Wisconsin soccer. Among the celebrated names are players such as Brailey Baxter, Meghan Gavigan, Madonna Helf and many others, whose performances have sparked excitement for the upcoming seasons.
The selections illustrate how high school soccer continues to grow in the state, with schools from across Wisconsin showcasing their talent on a statewide stage. The recognition not only celebrates individual achievement but also highlights the strong programs and community support that drive the sport forward.
