Western Kentucky University’s baseball program entered the 2026 Conference USA Tournament as the sixth seed, landing in Pool A alongside Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee. The Hilltoppers will begin their campaign in Kennesaw, Georgia, where the tournament’s opening round is scheduled to take place.
Pool A Matchups and Schedule
The tournament format features nine teams split into three pools of three, with each pool’s champion plus the best runner‑up advancing to the semifinal round on May 23. This structure means every early game carries added weight, as a single win can shape the path to the final.
WKU’s first test arrives on May 20 at 12:30 p.m., when it meets Middle Tennessee. Two days later, on May 22, the Hilltoppers will return to the same venue to face Jacksonville State at the same afternoon slot.
All matches prior to the championship will be available to viewers through ESPN+, ensuring that fans across the country can follow the action live.
The winners of each pool automatically secure a semifinal spot, while the strongest runner‑up across all pools also earns a place. This means that even if WKU finishes second in its pool, a strong overall record could still propel it to the next round.
