WKU Baseball has earned the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Conference USA Tournament, which will be held in Kennesaw, Georgia. The announcement marks a significant milestone for the Hilltoppers as they prepare to compete among the conference’s elite.
The 2026 edition of the tournament introduces a fresh format, expanding the field to nine teams organized into three pools of three. This restructuring replaces the previous setup and adds a new layer of strategy for all participants.
WKU finds itself in Pool A alongside Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee. The composition of the pool sets the stage for a pair of crucial early matchups that could determine the Hilltoppers’ momentum in the competition.
The Hilltoppers open against Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time, before meeting Jacksonville State on Friday, May 22, at 1:30 p.m. Central Time. Both games will be played on the same venue’s schedule, offering a compact but intense start to the tournament.
Semifinal Prospects
Advancement will see the champion of each pool join a wild‑card team in the semifinal round on Saturday, May 23. The winners of the three pools and the designated wild‑card entrant will then battle for a spot in the championship game, which will conclude the tournament’s early stages.
