The Women’s Pro Baseball League, billed as the first professional women’s baseball circuit in the United States since the 1950s, will officially open its doors on August 1, 2024.
All of the league’s games will be staged at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois, a 5,200‑seat venue that has recently received a series of upgrades to modernize its facilities.
Four franchises will compete – the Los Angeles franchise, the San Francisco franchise, the New York franchise and the Boston franchise – each playing a 15‑game regular season that runs through September 6.
Postseason Structure
The postseason is slated to begin on September 9, with best‑of‑three series leading into a best‑of‑five championship round.
Single‑game tickets start at $22, and a menu of package options is available for fans who want to follow a team throughout the campaign.
The league was first announced in October 2024, after a tryout process that attracted more than 600 players, among them the celebrated pitcher Mo'ne Davis.
The schedule was deliberately aligned to follow the Women’s Baseball World Cup in Rockford, which is set for July 22‑26, giving the new league a natural spotlight.
