The Worcester Railers Hockey Club announced Tuesday that it has secured the services of forwards Riley Piercey and Riley Ginnell, as well as defensemen Adam Samuelsson and Vinny Corcoran through the 2026-27 season, reinforcing a core that helped the team reach the playoffs last year.

Piercey, a Mississauga native, enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2025-26, posting a career-high 65 games played and 76 penalty minutes while contributing 17 points with seven goals and ten assists.
Ginnell, originally from Calgary, also set a personal best with eight assists, adding five goals for a total of 23 points in 66 career appearances for Worcester.
Samuelsson, the son of two-time Stanley Cup champion Ulf Samuelsson, matched his own records with 62 games played, 11 assists and 12 total points, underscoring his growth on the blue line.
Corcoran, a Plainville, Illinois product, made an immediate impact last season, scoring two goals and three assists in nine games and earning the distinction of being named the game’s number one star in the Railers’ April 10 victory over the Greensboro Gargoyles.
General manager John Dooley praised the re-signings, stating that the club’s continuity will allow the team to build on its recent successes and compete fiercely in the upcoming season, reflecting the organization’s commitment to developing talent within the Eastern Hockey League.
