World Wide Technology Raceway will stage the Enjoy Illinois 300 on August 22, 2027, kicking off a decisive three‑race stretch that will lock in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase field.
Only three events remain before the playoffs, and each race offers drivers a final chance to secure a spot among the 16 playoff contenders or to climb the standings before the postseason begins.
The weekend also features the Nu Way 225 from the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on August 21, marking the second consecutive year the series returns to the Illinois venue.
Historic venues loom on the horizon
Daytona International Speedway, with its 31‑degree banking, will test drivers’ speed and drafting skill, while Darlington’s notorious ‘egg‑shaped’ layout will reward precision and strategic pit work.
The schedule then moves to two of NASCAR’s most storied tracks: Daytona International Speedway on August 28 and Darlington Raceway on September 5, iconic venues that have long shaped the sport’s narrative.
