A Fresh Look Ahead of 2026
Wright State men's soccer head coach Alex Van der Sluijs took to the podium recently to unveil the program's newest chapter, announcing the addition of fifteen players who will shape the 2026 roster.
The incoming class blends nine freshmen with six athletes who have transferred from other institutions, creating a mixture of youthful energy and seasoned experience that the coaching staff believes will reinforce the program's core values.
Among the newcomers are names such as Rowen Arnold, Nick Dunaway, Cairo Duarte, Edoardo De Filliipis, Jose Flores, Abiel Gunn, Zachary Hoffman, Landyn Hoyhtya, Georgios Kolotas, Alejandro Nasato, Tedrick Neptune, Hudson Nielsen, Josyah Nozil, Daniel Panait and Cole Trollip, each bringing a distinct background from states like Ohio and Kentucky to far‑flung locales including Brazil, Italy and Cyprus.
Coach Van der Sluijs emphasized that the group shares a common drive, a palpable passion for the sport and a gratitude that reflects the university's commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
