Wright State women's basketball coach Kari Hoffman confirmed the addition of Allie Daniels to the Raiders roster, marking the third transfer arrival ahead of the new season. Daniels, a 6‑3 forward from Huntington, West Virginia, brings a blend of size, skill, and a strong work ethic that aligns with the program's ambitions.
A Freshman Campaign of Promise
During her freshman year at West Virginia Wesleyan, Daniels posted 8.3 points per game while pulling down a team‑high 9.1 rebounds. She recorded double‑digit rebounds in eleven contests and reached double‑digit scoring on nine occasions, highlighted by a 16‑point outing against Glenville State and an 18‑rebound performance a month later.
Beyond raw numbers, Daniels earned a suite of honors that underscored her impact in West Virginia. She captured a state title in her senior season at Spring Valley High School, was named Player of the Year by the Herald Dispatch, and secured First Team All‑State recognition from the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. Additional accolades included First Team All‑MSAC and a spot on the All‑Tournament West Virginia State Team.
Fit Within a Growing Roster
Daniels will join a cadre of returning and newly signed teammates, including Jasmine Fearne, Jayden Terry, Megan Ganschow, Rowan Klesmit and Sydney Williams. The coaching staff envisions her as a versatile threat in the paint, capable of stretching the floor and anchoring the defensive rebounding effort.
