Early Momentum for the Raiders
Alea Cook opened the scoring in the 14th minute, finishing a move set up by Taliah Pellizzari that caught Marshall off guard.
Caitlin Burger added a late equaliser in the 89th minute, converting a penalty to briefly level the sides.
Marshall's Comeback
The Thundering Herd answered back in the 49th minute when Maria Chaves found the net, shifting the balance of play.
Wiktoria Mikrut doubled the lead just before halftime, converting a penalty in the 39th minute to put Marshall ahead.
Geovanna Souza sealed the victory in the 80th minute with an insurance goal, capping a three‑goal swing.
Despite being outshot 17‑9, Wright State managed six shots on target to Marshall's five, while corner kicks favored the Raiders with seven to four.
The Raiders are scheduled to travel to Lexington, Kentucky, for their next contest on August 30, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
