The West Virginia University men's basketball program has been honored with the 2025‑26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award, a testament to the Mountaineers' commitment to scholarship as well as competition.

Honors Court Selections
The honorees — Jackson Fields, Jasper Floyd, Honor Huff, Chance Moore and Morris Ugusuk — each maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, meeting the stringent criteria that the Honors Court reserves for junior, senior and graduate students who excelled academically while completing their eligibility.
