Early Standings Shape the North and South Conferences
Nine weeks have slipped by in the 2026 American Legion Baseball season across Wyoming, and the early standings are already painting a vivid picture of competition. In the North Conference, the towns of Gillette and Jackson remain unbeaten, while four other clubs have yet to play a league game, leaving the race wide open.
The South Division is being led by the Cheyenne Sixers and the Cheyenne Hawks, both of whom have posted strong records as the schedule progresses. Their dominance is underscored by a series of tournament victories that have added momentum to their campaigns.
Last weekend three Wyoming teams captured championship titles. The Cheyenne Hawks lifted the Dean Bullock Memorial Trophy in Torrington, while the Cheyenne Sixers claimed first place at the 5‑Tool Baseball Northern Colorado Wood Bat Shootout in Fort Collins. The Sheridan Troopers, meanwhile, secured their second straight Black Hills Veterans Classic crown in Rapid City, South Dakota, going 5‑0 over the weekend.
The impressive performances have also translated into milestones, with five teams already surpassing the 20‑win mark this season. These achievements set the stage for a tightly contested finish as the league moves deeper into the schedule.
