2026 Senior Legion All‑State Honorees Announced
Wyoming American Legion Baseball revealed its 2026 Senior Legion All‑State awards, recognizing 37 athletes on the First Team and 39 on the Second Team. The selections were determined by a vote among 23 head coaches representing programs across the state, ensuring a broad-based evaluation of performance.
The Cheyenne Sixers capped a dominant season by winning the Division 1 State Tournament, defeating the Sheridan Jets 8‑1 in the championship game. The victory underscored the depth of talent in Wyoming’s senior legion ranks.
Conference Players of the Year
North Conference honors went to Kanin Phillips of the Cody Cubs and Tanner Hamrick of the Sheridan Troopers, who were named co‑players of the year. Will Greer of the Sheridan Troopers earned Pitcher of the Year, while Austin Cowen was recognized as Coach of the Year. In the South Conference, Quentin King and Kian McDonough of the Cheyenne Sixers received Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year respectively, and Sonny Bozza and Tannar Galey were selected as co‑coaches of the year.
Several players received multiple recognitions over recent seasons. Braden Pearson of the Cheyenne Sixers earned First Team honors in 2024 and 2025, while Tanner Hamrick of the Sheridan Troopers appeared on the First Team in 2025 and the Second Team in 2024. Kanin Phillips of the Cody Cubs and Tanner Hamrick were also named North Conference co‑players of the year, reflecting sustained excellence.
The awards also highlighted standout performances from the Casper Oilers, where Tyler DePoorter, Kyler Johnson and Kole Pexton earned First Team spots, and from the Cody Cubs, whose Kanin Phillips and Easton Hartley were repeat First Team selections. Douglas Cats’ Kash Lenzen was a Second Team choice in 2024 and 2025.
With the 2026 season on the horizon, the recognized athletes and coaching staff look forward to building on this momentum. Their performances not only celebrate individual achievement but also spotlight the growing competitiveness of Wyoming’s senior legion baseball.
