The Greater Wyoming Area (GWA) All-Stars rallied from an early two-run deficit to defeat the Greater Pittston Area (GPA) 12-6 in the District 31 Little League Minor Baseball semifinals, earning a berth in the championship game.
A Six-Run First Inning Turns the Tide
GWA erased a 2-0 hole with a flurry of action in the opening frame. Singles by Tim Carroll and Logan Wolfe, aggressive baserunning, five walks, a hit batter, and a two-run single by Carroll sparked the comeback, pushing the lead to 6-2.
Key Arms and Gloves
Starter Logan Wolfe limited GPA to just two hits over the next four innings, including a solo homer by Santino Rynkiewicz in the fourth. A diving catch by center fielder Aiden Felker preserved a run in the third, while a timely double play by shortstop Tim Carroll halted a potential rally.
